The Territorial Army (TA) has opened its doors to former servicemen, including retired TA personnel and ex-women employees from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and State Forest Departments. This recruitment drive aims to fill 62 vacancies in the Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Ecological Garhwal Rifles.
Who’s Eligible?
To apply, ex-servicemen must have:
Served a minimum of 20 years in the MoEF&CC or State Forest Department.
Enrolled within five years of retirement or discharge.
Importantly, there’s no minimum age limit for ex-servicemen (pension holders).
How to Apply?
The selection process involves:
Physical and Medical Examination:
For ex-servicemen (male): A fitness test including a 1.6 km run, beam exercise, ditch jump, and balance test.
For ex-women employees: An interview, a proficiency test in afforestation and nursery management, and a medical examination.
Interview:
Candidates who clear the physical and medical tests will be interviewed by a Board of Officers (BOO).
